Extra care

We have a great deal of expertise in the development and management of extra care schemes for people aged 60+ with care and support needs.

We work with a number of local authorities and often secure funding from both the Homes and Communities Agency and Department of Health.

We have our own Extra Care specification and design guide, developed with input from residents as well as expert architects and contractors. While we are keen to share our experience, we are also very open to trying new ideas and always adopt a strong partnership approach.

We believe in flexible design and service provision, to ensure the best use can be made of each scheme, even when needs change. We also believe in building schemes which add something to the community, such as including a day centre or a base for health services.
