Audit Commission inspection

In 2008, we were awarded two stars for service with ‘excellent prospects’ for improvement by the Audit Commission, following a week-long inspection.

This places Saxon Weald among the top performing housing associations in the country. Since July 2006, only four other housing associations have achieved the same result and just three have received higher.

The inspection highlighted a number of strengths, including our commitment to customer care and involving residents in shaping services. We were also praised for our well-maintained homes, clean and tidy estates and a strong approach to achieving value for money.
