Repair requests are prioritised depending on
their urgency.
Emergency repairs
To be completed or made safe within eight hours.
Emergency repairs include:
- a blocked or unusable toilet (where there is only one
toilet in your home)
- a broken external window, door or lock
- a burst water pipe or failure of the water supply
(inside your home)
- electricity supply failure, if not caused by the
electricity supply company
- complete failure of the heating system or loss of hot
water (in winter, or where older people, people with small
children and people with disabilities are involved).
Urgent repairs (priority one)
To be completed within seven days.
Urgent repairs include:
- a blocked drain
- water penetration or leaks
- partial loss of electrical power, if not caused by the
electricity supply company
- partial loss of water supply inside your home
- loose or detached banister or hand rail
- a tap that cannot be turned.
Routine repairs (priority two)
To be completed within 21 days.
Routine repairs include:
- leaking roof
- repair to floors, doors and windows
- defective gutters and flashings.
Repairs to communal areas
To be completed within 21 days of reporting.
